Homestead’s 260th Anniversary

Established in 1766, 10 years before the signing of the Declaration of Independence, The Omni Homestead stands as America’s first resort and a living landmark of presidential history and mountain tradition. In celebration of its 260th anniversary and the nation’s 250th, guests are invited to celebrate daily in the Great Hall with a signature 
birthday cake.

The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa

What began as a modest lodge became America’s first resort. For over 260 years, The Omni Homestead Resort has welcomed 23 U.S. presidents and guests. Today, the resort is renowned for its warm mineral springs, mountain views and timeless Southern hospitality.

Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa

Known as the “Summer White House,” Omni Bedford Springs Resort served as key political retreat. Leaders gathered here to enjoy its famous mineral springs. President Buchanan hosted diplomats at the resort and worked through national tensions. He also received the first transatlantic telegraph from Queen Victoria at this historic site.

Omni Parker House

For more than 160 years, Boston’s longest continuously operating hotel has welcomed leaders, writers and visionaries. Charles Dickens lived here, and both the Boston Cream Pie and Parker House Rolls were invented on-site. The literary Saturday Club, featuring Ralph Waldo Emerson and Nathaniel Hawthorne, inspired The Atlantic. It also played host to pivotal moments in John F. Kennedy’s early 
political rise.

Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa

Omni Mount Washington Resort is known for hosting the 1944 Bretton Woods Conference, which helped shape today’s global financial system. Opened in 1902, the resort was built for summer luxury and sweeping mountain views. It also featured a cutting-edge electric power and lighting system developed by Thomas Edison.

The Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa

The Omni Grove Park Inn was built in the Arts and Crafts style using native granite from Sunset Mountain in Asheville. This landmark quickly became a mountain retreat for writers and leaders, including F. Scott Fitzgerald and Henry Ford. Set in the Blue Ridge Mountains, its handcrafted design and scenic setting continue to define its lasting legacy.

Omni William Penn Hotel

When it opened, Omni William Penn Hotel was the largest hotel between New York and Chicago. Built in grand Beaux-Arts style during World War I, it was designed to rival Europe’s finest hotels. The hotel soon became a symbol of Pittsburgh’s growth. For more than 100 years, it has hosted heads of state, celebrities and major moments in American history in the heart of the city.

Omni Berkshire Place

At this Midtown Manhattan landmark, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II wrote Oklahoma!, helping shape its Broadway legacy. The hotel’s famed Barberry Room became a gathering place for cultural icons, including Frank Sinatra and Salvador Dalí. After criticizing a Bouguereau work on display, Dalí famously created a live abstract painting at the hotel.

Omni Shoreham Hotel

This Washington, D.C. icon hosted The Beatles’ first U.S. press conference in 1964, and has long served as a meeting place for presidents and global leaders. Opened in Woodley Park, the hotel was designed as the city’s grand “dame,” blending Renaissance Revival and Art Deco styles. It has also hosted 12 presidential inaugural balls, from Franklin D. Roosevelt to Barack Obama.

Omni La Costa Resort 
& Spa

Omni La Costa debuted as one of the world’s first destination spas, setting a new standard for wellness and resort living. Built in California Mission Revival style near Batiquitos Lagoon, it was designed as a year-round retreat where families could “play and live in great style.” Its privacy quickly attracted Hollywood stars, including Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope.
